Heartbeat House

If you come from the Channel Islands; Dorset, Portsmouth and elsewhere in Wessex, or even just from the other side of Southampton, Heartbeat House is there for you to stay if you need it, when you need it. With its 25 bedrooms rooms, comfortable lounge areas, and home from home facilities for guests, Heartbeat House is a quiet refuge for relatives when someone they love is undergoing treatment in the Cardiac Centre. Only 3 minutes walk from the wards guests can stay as long as their loved one is in hospital. The reassurance relatives get from being able to stay in Heartbeat House cannot be measured.

Heartbeat House is available to relatives of children; young adults and adult patients treated at the Wessex Cardiac Centre. Our policy is not to charge for rooms. We only ask for a £25 key deposit and gratefully accept donations from those wishing to donate. The House is staffed Monday – Friday 9.00 am to 5 .00 pm and at weekends from 9.00 am to 12,00 noon.

For more information on Heartbeat House and how to book a room contact maureen@heartbeat.org.uk telephone number 023 8039 0548 or speak to staff in the Cardiac Centre.

Not just crucial as somewhere to lay our heads, but a place of care, comfort and kindness, making all the difference when we needed it most. Thank you so much!
Angie Emerson, Henley- on- Thames

"When I look at what Wessex Heartbeat has done I feel proud and humbled that we’ve all been able to achieve so much that’s good for people with heart problems. Heartbeat House was the first of our big projects and it remains as important today as it was when it first opened in 1995"
