D'Arcy Myers - Chief Executive Officer | |||||
Leading the Wessex Heartbeat team is D'Arcy Myers, our CEO. D'Arcy joined Wessex Heartbeat in January 2008, having been CEO of Dreams Come True for seven years previously. Following eight years working in marketing and business development he went out to the independent kingdom of Tonga in the South Pacific with VSO in 1993. The overseas project led D'Arcy to work in 32 countries around the world from Africa, the Far East, Europe, the former Soviet Union, USA and the South PacificHe is a member of various marketing and fundraising institutes, the IoD, and a governor and trustee of different education and voluntary organisations. Jennifer Kenny - PA to CEO & Office Administrator | |||||
| Jennifer joined Wessex Heartbeat in October 2009 as PA to provide support to the CEO and Fundraising Team, assisting with the day to day administration of the charity. She has a wealth of PA experience at senior management level and more recently Jennifer has assisted entrepreneurs launch their new products both in the marine and mobile phone industries. Amongst her many interests she enjoys travelling, walking, cooking and tennis. | |||||
Tiffany Friend-Seddon - Fundraising Manager | |||||
Tiffany joined the fundraising team in November 2008 as Fundraising Manager. Her role includes organizing events, co-ordinating fundraising activities and managing the fundraising team. Having just spent the previous four years working for the Jubilee Sailing Trust as their Events & Fundraising Executive she brings with her an abundance of fundraising knowledge and experience. Prior to this, Tiffany spent several years working in the French Alps as Personnel Manager and PA to the Operations Manager for Mark Warner Ltd. Her role included everything from the welfare of the 190 staff to organising conferences, translating at all levels, transport logistics and working at the local radio station. During a break from her time in the Alps she worked at Buckingham Palace for HRH The Princess Royal helping to organise her busy weekly schedules. Tiffany lives with her husband, a professional sailor and enjoys an active outdoor lifestyle. |

Tina Richardson - Events Co-ordinator | |||||
Tina has been working for Wessex Heartbeat since January 2000. She has held many roles in this time and is now is based within the fundraising team where she coordinates and organises events. With 16 years experience in the Retail Management sector, with names such as House of Fraser and Marks and Spencer, Tina brings a wealth of experience to the team. Married to Tim, Tina enjoys too many different activities to list! |

Katie Smith - Community Fundraiser | |||||
Katie joined the team in January 2010 as the Community Fundraiser. Katie's role includes managing our community supporters and volunteers, promoting the charity to the community and providing members of the public with assistance, information and support. Before joining Wessex Heartbeat, Katie worked for a marketing strategy agency and prior to that at a Sussex Hospice. | |||||
Dawn Morrison - PR & Marketing Officer | |||||
| Dawn joined the team in August 2009, as the PR & Marketing Officer. Dawn's role includes managing Wessex Heartbeat's marketing communications, the production of all WHB literature, dealing with press and publicity and developing external relations. Before joining Wessex Heartbeat, Dawn worked for a medical charity as a Communications Officer and Trust Fundraiser. | |||||
Ronald Chigunwe - Financial Controller | |||||
Keeping an eye on the finances and ensuring the donations are safely banked, Ron joined Wessex Heartbeat as the financial controller in October 2008. Having worked for several companies including HSBC, Lloyds TSB and the University of Oxford, Ron has 10 years experience in finance and accounting. Ron lives with his wife and daughter. |

Stephen Mitchell - Heartbeat Education Centre Manager | |||||
Stephen joined Wessex Heartbeat in May 2009 as the Heartbeat Education Manager. As the conference centre manager is it his responsibility to ensure that our customers are always satisfied. Before working for Wessex Heartbeat he worked for De Vere Venues in Reading as Conference Services and AV Manager. Stephen worked at Wokefield Park for 5 years having worked his way up from Assistant Conference Manager. Stephen lives in Southampton with his partner and enjoys travelling, visiting the cinema and the outdoors. | | ||||

Dolcie joined Wessex Heartbeat in April 2007 as a catering assistant in the HEC. She has a wealth of experience having worked as a silver service waitress at one of Whitbread's top hotels - The Potter's Heron, Ampfield - for 20 years. Following this Dolcie went casual and has worked for various top venues such as Ascot, Goodwood and has even served the Royal family at Buckingham Palace. Her most recent role prior to starting at Wessex Heartbeat was at Winchester Guildhall where she was for eighteen years. Dolcie lives in Southampton and enjoys reading a good book, cooking, gardening and music.

Maureen joined the team as the House Manager for Rotary Heartbeat House in March 2008, but has been fundraising and volunteering for Wessex Heartbeat since it began in 1992. Maureen sees her new role as part administrator, part cleaner and part listening ear and she hopes that with her colleague Trish, they help to maintain a positive atmosphere throughout the house, when things could be so very different. |

Trish started at Wessex Heartbeat as a temporary cleaner in January 2005 but proved herself far too useful and is now a permanent member of staff. She enjoys her job, especially meeting the people staying at the house and helping them to feel at home. Prior to working at Heartbeat House, Trish worked as a carer for many years. |
