New "Key" Supporter Announced
Wessex Heartbeat is pleased to announce that a leading staff recruitment and employment agency along the South Coast has agreed to become one of its main corporate sponsors.
Key Recruitment Limited, which was founded in 2000 and has offices in Southampton and Portsmouth, has pledged its support to the charity in future fundraising events.
Managing Director, Monica Key explained: "At Key Recruitment Limited, we nurture a culture where people are not just numbers, but are truly our most valuable asset and are recognised and rewarded as such. At some stage in our lives, most of us will have known a family member or work colleague who has been affected by heart disease - Wessex Heartbeat seemed a very worthwhile charity to be associated with. We also felt that it was of paramount importance that our candidates, client companies and their employees are informed about how they can make lifestyle changes to become more active, healthier and consequently happier people. With that in mind, we were happy to endorse Wessex Heartbeat's "Your Healthy Heart" initiative, aimed at supporting the health of the community."
Monica Key, who is also Chair of the Wessex Branch of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, said that she hoped Key Recruitment's involvement would enable Wessex Heartbeat to reach out to new audiences and have an impact within the varied working environments which Key Recruitment employ staff for.
"Our business ethos has always been about building committed and lasting partnerships with our customers and candidates - now our association with Wessex Heartbeat is an ideal charity link to our business philosophy."
D'Arcy Myers, Wessex Heartbeat's Chief Executive, welcomed Key Recruitment as a corporate sponsor and thanked the company for their support.
"As we don't receive any financial support from the government, every donation we receive is invaluable to us, and pivotal to being able to make a real difference to the care of the patients of the Wessex Cardiac Centre. We are very proud of our achievements to date, but there is always more for us to do. Our newest initiative aims to keep people aware of the importance of keeping your heart healthy. Aimed at businesses and organisations in the Wessex area, our ‘Your Healthy Heart" campaign provides employees with an on-the-spot health check. A donation of just £5 helps us to offer another of these checks and could help us prevent someone developing heart disease."
