Wessex Heartbeat Annual Golf Classic & Celebration Ball - May 2008

Thanks to the generous support of everyone who attended the Wessex Heartbeat Golf Classic and Celebration Ball, the fantastic sum of £25,703 has been raised. The event was held in memory of long time Wessex Heartbeat supporter and Saints football legend, Alan Ball.

The presentation of the figure was unveiled by Jimmy Ball, the son of Alan Ball at the Wessex Heartbeat Education Centre within Southampton General Hospital. "They were two wonderful events and I am really pleased with the amount that was raised for the charity" said Jimmy.

Chief Executive D'Arcy Myers said ‘Alan Ball was an avid supporter of the Wessex Heartbeat Charity and we were honoured to commemorate Alan by holding this event in his memory" "The funds raised will help to ensure that everyone affected by heart disease receives the best possible support. It is not just the patient but their immediate family that need this support"
