What will it mean to Wessex Heartbeat?
Often the legacies we receive form a crucial part of a much needed new project, such as our refurbishment of the Children's "Ocean Ward " or our forthcoming creation of a "Young Adults Cardiac Ward", or they can ensure that we keep existing projects going, such as Heartbeat House.
We will always ensure that your gift is used in the best possible way and we hope the following list will show just how valuable a legacy can be to our work.
A legacy of:
- £100 would pay for supporting materials for our Ambassadors and Volunteers in the community.
- £450 would provide over a year's supply of leaflets for the Cardiac Rehabilitation Team to give to people who have suffered heart attacks.
- £600 would enable us to provide community support through our "Your Healthy Heart" scheme for 3 months.
- £1500 support the Heartbeat Education Centre for 1month in providing state of the art videoconferencing, which allows local, national and international education, and remote patient diagnosis.
- £2,000 will enable us to buy new furniture for the Young Adult Cardiac Unit social area.
- £3,000 could buy a new baby pod, used to safely and rapidly transport neonates and children less than 10kg to hospital.
- £5,000 would buy specialist equipment in the new Young Adult Cardiac Unit.
- £10,000 would enable us to keep Heartbeat House open for 3 months.
