For Christmas, Kay Parker is once again lighting up her home in an effort to support and raise funds for Heartbeat House. Kay has supported the House for many years now due to her son Daniel being born with Congenital Heart Disease.

Initially Daniel was under the care of the John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford until he reached his late teens, he then needed a specialist operation that was available at the Wessex Cardiac Centre at Southampton General Hospital, so his care was transferred there.

At this time Kay had limited funds and was struggling with Daniel’s condition. She also worried about where she would be able to stay whilst away from her home in Reading, until she was told about Heartbeat House and its close proximity to the hospital. Here she could stay 24/7 free of charge, whilst being just minutes away from her son.

To express her gratitude to Heartbeat House, Kay continues to fundraise every Christmas with a magical display of Christmas Lights at her home.

We are so thankful of Kay's fundraising efforts, we couldn't do what we do without supporters like her.
