richard lewis Every day I see the fantastic work done in this Southampton General Hospital, but I also see where we can improve, heartbeat are part of this improvement in providing support and resources well beyond the means of what the hospital could achieve alone.
The support they provide saves lives, I want to be part of that in any way I can.

In September I will be taking part in the toughest mass participation sporting challenge I can imagine, I will (hopefully) become an IRONMAN.
Ironman is a triathlon of epic proportions, it consists of a 2.4 mile sea swim a 112mile bike ride around the mountains of west Wales followed by a 26.2 mile run through the streets and hills of Tenby, all of which must be completed within 17 hours.

This will only be the second triathlon I have ever done (the first didn't go well, I crashed out on the bike course and ended up carrying the bike for 16 miles).

Its February and I have just started my 6 month training plan, I need to apologies to my wife and kids right now, its hectic (between 10 and 20 hours a week training).

This is going to push me to my physical and mental limits. please support me in any way you can.

Thank you
