Star of the West End, Kerry Ellis; and Britains Got Talent finalist, Gareth Oliver, headlined a fantastic lineup of talent from both the local community and the entertainment business. An audience of over 1,100 watched on in awe as these fantastic acts delivered perfromances of the highest caliber - whilst helping Wessex Heartbeat to raise over £12,000 from the event.

Also performing on the night, was mesmerising trapeze artist, Diego Circus, who was able to showcase his incredible skills to the attending crowd; whilst local dance groups and choirs added to the evening with spectacular perfromances, quickly becoming a staple of Wessex Heartbeat's shows.

To help add variety to the visually dazzling trapeze show and dance groups, Southampton man, Bobby Ward-Jones performed a beautiful piano performance, only months from having major heart surgery. Whilst training with the territorial army, Bobby collapsed before being saved by a colleague with CPR.

“It was a real honour to play at Mayflower Theatre and I’m hoping to do even more for the charity in the coming months.” - Bobby Ward-Jones

Having Bobby perform was not just a huge inspiration for everyone who came to watch, but also for the countless others who have or are still going through cardiac care. It's also a perfect way to underline the work that Wessex Heartbeat do, and the reason why its so important to raise funds through events like this, where everyone can come together and enjoy themselves.

“We are absolutely thrilled with how much was raised at the show. Having Bobby perform on stage, just a few months after his heart surgery, really brought home the impact heart disease can have and how knowing CPR could save someone’s life.” - John Munro CEO of Wessex Heartbeat

A huge thank you to every single supproter who supported the show in some way, and of course to our amazing sponsors. Without you, there wouldn't be the opportunity to engage with the community in such a wonderful way, and in turn raise funds to improve the cardiac care in the Wessex region.
