Here is a message from Jacquelyn Erskine, the curator of HeARTbeat Exhibition:

"The opening night of the HeARTbeat Exhibition was a huge success, we had 154 guests through the doors, we sold 28 pieces and made over £3000.00 on the first night!

Special thanks go to my fiancé Mark Fallaize who had his quadruple heart bypass in January this year and has been a great support.  Also thanks to my sister Juliet Walsh who helped us curate the exhibition, laminated the QR codes and helped with hospitality at the opening, Matt Guerny for helping create the HeARTbeat video and put the PDF together to

spread the word.

To my son Fraser Erskine for designing the banners and poster, my daughter Amelia Erskine who created the black HeARTbeat sign.  Lynette Petit and Vani Ramaligam who catered, rotary Guernesiais, Lucy Domaille, Nikki Travis and Annie Knighty who provided the fizz.

To the Medical Specialist Group whose Sponsorship paid for the banners and Gallery space, my two good friends Matthew McGeoch and Karen Pickles who donated towards the foam board sign.

To Paulo Caetano for the banner poetry and they are just a few of the wonderful people who helped.

Finally huge appreciation and thanks to the many artists who donated their beautiful artwork to make this happen.

Warmest regards,

Jacquelyn Erskine"

Sharing the Joy of Giving: My Print Donation to Heartbeat House.

I have recently donated a collection of prints to HeARTbeat exhibition, and I wanted to take a moment to express the joy and fulfilment this act of giving has brought me.

Art has always held a special place in my heart, serving as a source of inspiration, solace and joy. Recognising the power that art has to impact lives, I felt compelled to contribute in a meaningful way to a cause that aligns with my values. After careful consideration, I chose to donate to Heartbeat House because of their incredible work and because my daughter has herself had two open heart surgeries. The first was when she was 5 years old. My mother has also recently suffered from a stroke, and I know how important it is to have the support around us during these difficult times.

I believe that art has the ability to transcend boundaries and connect people on a profound level. Through this donation, I hope to share not just the physical prints but also the emotions, stories, and inspiration behind each piece, it is my sincere desire that these prints will bring comfort, spark creativity, and serve as a reminder of the beauty that exists in the world.

By supporting their mission, I am contributing to a cause that goes beyond the canvas, the camera and the lens of positive change in the lives of those who need it most.
