Southampton charity golf day raises £15,200

A Southampton-based charity golf day has raised £15,200 before costs to help fund the renovation of the charity’s much-loved Rotary Heartbeat House for cardiac patients and their families in the community.
Heartbeat’s golf day at Stoneham Golf Club, proudly supported by VFS Scattolini as headline sponsor along with Clarke Willmott as Nearest the Pin sponsor, brought together supporters, local companies and keen golfers for an exciting day of friendly competition, networking and fundraising on Thursday 17th September.
As corporate partner of Heartbeat, VFS played a key role in making the event possible, demonstrating the company’s commitment to supporting community organisations that care for people across the region.

Sixteen teams took to the renowned 18-hole course in Bassett, but it was the winning team lead by Nick Warner who claimed victory.
Matthew Cornick, Events and Corporate Fundraising Co-Ordinator at Heartbeat, said: "This was our first fundraising golf day at Stoneham, and it didn’t disappoint. It was fantastic to see people enjoying themselves and huge congratulations go to our winners.

“All money raised will go directly towards the renovations of Rotary Heartbeat House, which helps provide a home-from-home accommodation for the families of cardiac patients being treated at the University Hospital Southampton during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. A huge thank you to everyone who came along and showed their support.
“A special thank you goes to our headline sponsor, VFS Scattolini, which is supporting Heartbeat throughout 2026, along with all our sponsors. Without your backing, events like this couldn’t go ahead, and we’re extremely grateful.”
Heartbeat supports people of all ages across the region who have been diagnosed with congenital and cardiovascular disease. The charity provides specialist equipment, services and facilities to help patients and their families throughout their cardiac journey, while also funding pioneering projects and ground-breaking research to advance heart health.
Jason Farrenden, Operation Manager at VFS Scattolini commented: “We are proud to support Heartbeat and the incredible work they do for cardiac patients and their families across our region. The Stoneham Golf Day was a fantastic opportunity to bring together local businesses, customers and supporters for a great cause, while raising vital funds for Rotary Heartbeat House. Seeing the generosity and enthusiasm of everyone involved was inspiring, and we are delighted that VFS Scattolini could play a part in helping Heartbeat continue its invaluable work within our community.”
