With just two weeks to go, the countdown has officially begun for a spectacular night of entertainment at the Mayflower Theatre in support of cardiac charity Heartbeat.

On Sunday 19 April, Variety from the Heart will take centre stage, promising an unforgettable evening packed with dazzling performances from a mix of established stars and exciting local talent.

Big names include ventriloquist and comedian Max Fulham fresh from his appearance in the theatre’s 2025 production of The Pantomime Adventures of Peter Pan, alongside the brilliantly witty ‘Comedy Wordsmith’ compère Lloyd Hollett. They’ll be joined by headline act Shayne Ward, bringing star power to an already electric evening.

Audiences can also expect show-stopping performances from local favourites Spot On Productions, Parkewood School of Dance and Sing Now Choir.

Beyond the bright lights and big performances, the event carries a powerful purpose. Every pound raised will support the renovation of Rotary Heartbeat House and the renovation of the Heart Failure Unit at the University Hospital Southampton, helping to transform cardiac care and make a lasting difference for patients and families across the region.

Tanya Harder, Community Fundraising and Marketing Manager at Heartbeat, said: “With just a fortnight to go, the excitement is really starting to build. Seeing so many incredibly talented performers coming together on the stage at the Mayflower Theatre in support of our charity is truly special, and we are so grateful for the support. We can’t wait to welcome all who are attending for what promises to be a fantastic evening, full of energy, heart, and plenty of ‘wow’ moments!”

CEO of Heartbeat, Mark Ind said: “We are incredibly proud to share such a longstanding and valued partnership with Michael Ockwell and the team at Mayflower Theatre, who have supported our “From the Heart” performances over the past 25 years. Partnerships like this play a vital role in helping us raise awareness of the importance of heart health, while also supporting our fundraising efforts. Together, this enables us to continue investing in pioneering projects that make a meaningful difference to cardiac patients and their families throughout their journey within our communities.
