New Forest hotel & spa Chewton Glen has raised £3,057 for Southampton cardiac charity Heartbeat in 2025.

One of the hotel’s three chosen charities, Heartbeat will be putting the funds raised towards providing life-saving treatment to those with heart conditions across the Wessex region and beyond.

To raise the impressive amount, the Chewton Glen team organised a busy schedule of of events from summer parties to bonfire nights. Guests were also able to contribute by donating an extra £1 when paying for their stay.

The hotel’s fundraising efforts are part of its commitment to making a positive difference and giving back to the community.

CEO of Heartbeat Mark Ind said: “We were delighted to hear Chewton Glen had made us a chosen charity for 2025. After a year of vibrant events and support from guests, the team have raised a truly amazing final total. The funds will go towards making sure heart patients and their loved ones receive the very best care whether this is through vital equipment or support for families.”

General Manager at Chewton Glen Guy Owen said: “We know we made a fantastic choice when we made Heartbeat a charity partner for the year. It’s a great cause that’s right on our doorstep. I’m looking forward to seeing our busy and exciting year of fundraising make a real impact in 2026.”

As well as this, the charity also offers patients’ loved ones a sanctuary at Rotary Heartbeat House – a peaceful place to stay just a three-minute walk from the University Hospital Southampton where relatives can be close by during treatment.
