Golf tournaments teed off at two of Hampshire’s most popular clubs have raised more than £21,000 for a Southampton cardiac charity.
Heartbeat’s recent fundraising days held at South Winchester and Corhampton Golf Clubs raised a grand total of £21,250 – funds which will go towards supporting cardiac patients and their families across the Wessex region and beyond.
The events brought together local businesses, supporters, and golf enthusiasts for two days of friendly competition, fundraising, and community spirit.

The South Winchester event saw Hobbs the Printers crowned as winners with Hi-Acre and Gallagher Insurance taking second and third place. Over in Corhampton, Brown & Brown Insurance Brokers secured first with Heartbeat Hackers and Nick Warner Team coming in as runners up.
Sponsors for the events were Pangea Insurance, Lee Peck Media, Peter Cooper Motor Group, Brown & Brown and Warner Goodman.
Patrick McCarthy, Heartbeat’s Events and Corporate Fundraising Co-Ordinator, said: “Our golf days are always great fun and we see such amazing enthusiasm out on the greens. We’re so grateful to every player and partner for their generosity and support when it comes to making these days a success.”
Tina Richardson, Head of Operations at Heartbeat, added: “The funds we raise through these events go towards delivering vital services for cardiac patients and their loved ones, helping them get through what is often a hugely challenging time.”
