Morgan Sindall bike ride and hike raises £850 for Southampton-based cardiac charity

An annual fundraising event organised by Morgan Sindall Construction & Infrastructure has raised £850 for Heartbeat, a Southampton-based cardiac charity.
This latest fundraiser brings Morgan Sindall’s total donation to Heartbeat of £3,420 over two years, with two charity bike rides and a contribution towards Heartbeat’s annual walking fundraiser, Heart and Stroll.
This year’s challenge saw the Morgan Sindall team take on both a cycle ride and a newly introduced hiking route, designed to make the event more inclusive for participants.
Fundraisers followed a familiar route along the stunning Purbeck coast in Dorset before finishing for lunch at the Bankes Arms in Studland.

Cyclists and hikers joined forces to raise funds and awareness for Heartbeat, which Morgan Sindall has chosen as its Charity of the Year for the second year running. Mark Ind, Heartbeat’s CEO, attended on the day and took part in the hike.
Heartbeat supports people of all ages across the region who have been diagnosed with congenital and cardiovascular disease, and Mark is extremely grateful for Morgan Sindall’s support of the charity.
“A huge thank you to Morgan Sindall for organising this fantastic event and for choosing us as their Charity of the Year once again” Mark said. “The funds raised today will go directly to cardiac patients and their families in the Wessex region. The hiking route has also been a great addition and I’m glad I could take part.”
Cliff Kinch, Area Director at Morgan Sindall: “This event has been a great success and it’s a pleasure to continue our support for Heartbeat, which is doing fantastic work for people who need it in the region.”
