Southampton-based cardiac charity Heartbeat has raised an outstanding £15,000 before costs from its annual Golf Day fundraiser, held at the picturesque South Winchester Golf Club.
The hugely successful event, proudly headline sponsored by Pangea Insurance, brought together supporters, local businesses and golf enthusiasts for a memorable day of competition, networking and fundraising on Wednesday 12 August.
Pangea Insurance's generous support played a pivotal role in the success of the event, helping Heartbeat deliver one of its most successful golf days to date. As headline sponsor, Pangea demonstrated its commitment to supporting local communities and making a meaningful difference to the lives of heart patients and their families across the region.

A total of 20 teams took to South Winchester Golf Club's stunning 18-hole championship course, enjoying ideal playing conditions while raising vital funds for Heartbeat's life-changing work. The event combined friendly competition with a shared commitment to supporting cardiac care, creating a fantastic atmosphere throughout the day.
Competition on the course was fierce, with the prestigious Alan Ball Trophy awarded to Clarke Willmott, whose team secured an impressive winning score of 134 points. Peter Cooper Motor Group claimed second place, while JMS Wealth Management rounded out the top three.

One of the day's most exciting moments came when Gordon Johnston achieved the sought-after hole-in-one challenge. His remarkable shot earned him the opportunity to progress to the next stage of a competition to win a car, generously supported by Peter Cooper Motor Group.
Mark Ind, CEO at Heartbeat, commented: "We are absolutely delighted to have raised such an impressive amount through this year's golf day. Every pound raised will help us continue supporting cardiac patients and their families, as well as funding vital projects that improve heart care across our region.
It was fantastic to see so many people enjoying a wonderful day of golf while supporting such an important cause. We are especially grateful to our headline sponsor, Pangea Insurance, whose generosity and commitment were instrumental in making the event such a success.
Congratulations to all of our winners, and thank you to every player, sponsor and local business that helped make the day possible."
The success of the event highlights the strength of support Heartbeat continues to receive from the local business community, with organisations such as Pangea Insurance helping the charity raise vital funds and awareness through long-term partnerships and community engagement.
Following this year's success, Heartbeat is already looking ahead to its next Golf Day at South Winchester Golf Club, scheduled for Wednesday 11 August 2027.
