Two Heart Charities, One Shared Mission

Recently, our very own Tina Tolley, Head of Business & Donor Development, and Anna Malcolm, Heartbeat Guernsey Liaison, had the pleasure of meeting the amazing team at Guernsey Chest & Heart – including Chairman Sally-Ann David, Caroline Ogier, and Shonagh Darling.

Together, they shared stories and passion for supporting those affected by heart conditions—from early detection to long-term care.

Did you know? Many people’s heart health journeys in Guernsey begin with Chest & Heart’s free lifestyle advice and screening service—a vital tool for spotting early signs of heart disease or stroke. They also offer workplace health checks, and despite being a free service, it's generously supported by public donations.

With annual running costs of £125,000, Guernsey Chest & Heart relies completely on the kindness of donors and fundraisers—just like Heartbeat, which offers a “Home from Home” at Rotary Heartbeat House for families during the most difficult times.

It’s inspiring to see how both charities work hand in hand across the Bailiwick, making a huge difference to countless lives through compassion, care, and community spirit.
