Luxury hotel and spa Chewton Glen has announced it will be supporting Southampton cardiac charity Heartbeat as one of its chosen charities for 2025.
Heartbeat delivers high quality care to heart patients across Hampshire and Dorset. As well as this, the charity also offers patients’ loved ones a sanctuary at Heartbeat House – a peaceful place to stay just a three-minute walk from the University Hospital Southampton where relatives can be close by during treatment.
Each year, Chewton Glen selects three local charities to support as part of its ongoing commitment to giving back to the community.
Guests will be able to lend their support through a £1 donation added to their stay. The venue will also be hosting a series of fundraising events throughout the year including a summer party, bonfire night, and a Christmas party with proceeds going to its nominated charities.
General Manager at Chewton Glen Guy Owen said: “This is the first year we’ve worked with Heartbeat, and we’re thrilled to be raising money for such an inspiring cause. We were first introduced to the charity by its CEO Mark Ind who shared such remarkable stories about Heartbeat’s work and the impact it has.
“We’ve got a really exciting schedule of fundraising events coming up to help us raise as much as we can. It’s a real privilege to be able to support a charity that makes such a tangible and compassionate difference to people right here in our region.”
Heartbeat’s CEO Mark Ind said: “It’s always an honour when companies make us one of their chosen charities. Having Chewton Glen on board will help us raise funds so we can continue our life-saving work caring for cardiac patients across the region and being there for loved ones at what is often a very challenging time.”
