Exciting Updates and Future Plans for Rotary Heartbeat House

We are delighted to share some exciting developments at Rotary Heartbeat House, reflecting our ongoing commitment to providing a comfortable and welcoming space for all who stay with us.

In 2024, we successfully completed several significant upgrades aimed at enhancing the comfort and experience of our guests. Alongside the installation of brand-new carpets throughout the house, we upgraded our heating system by replacing two boilers with brand-new, energy-efficient models—ensuring a warm and comfortable environment all year round. In addition, all bedrooms received new furniture and fresh bedding, creating a more modern, relaxing, and restful space for our guests during what can often be a challenging time.

We are also proud to have introduced a dedicated space within Rotary Heartbeat House to showcase Rotary’s generous pledges. This special area features gold, heart-shaped plaques honouring each Rotary club that has contributed toward our three-year pledge of £500 per year. These contributions are vital in helping cover the ongoing costs of maintaining Rotary Heartbeat House, and this display serves as a heartfelt thank-you to those who have supported our mission.

Currently, we are focusing on vital maintenance work, with repairs being carried out on the roof to ensure the long-term safety and durability of the building. As part of this effort, the roof has also undergone a comprehensive cleaning, helping to preserve the structure and maintain the house’s overall appearance.

Looking ahead, we are excited to announce plans for further refurbishment in 2025 and 2026. These improvements aim to enhance the facilities, update key areas of the house, and ensure that Heartbeat House continues to offer a warm, supportive environment for patients and their families.

These ongoing upgrades mark an exciting chapter in our journey, and we are incredibly grateful for the continued support from our community, volunteers, and donors.
